High Energy Constructs presents Neo Dolce, a group exhibition of works on paper by artLedge (Brandon Alvendia & Caleb Lyons), Marcus Civin, Arryan Decatur, Marc Herbst, Jim Johnson, Lia Lowenthal, Claudia Nieto, Paul Paiement, James Powers, Daniel Purbrick, and Amy Robinson.

Neo Dolce highlights the techniques and themes of artists from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco whose works (formally and conceptually) demonstrate laborious, mystical, and playful relations with the lyrical materiality of paper.

The works featured in this exhibition come from various creative processes that metaphysically explore and physically craft visual-narratives concerning commitment and community, health and hybridity, labor and leisure. For this exhibition, the potentiality of paper is illuminated via collage, drawing, painting, mixed-media prints, recycling, pulping, transcription, and many other architectural and linguistic terrains of color, structure, and texture.
